Objectives and strategy
From the day of its founding the objective of the company “MARBUD” activities were construction activities in the field of housing constructions, public utility buildings and constructions for industry, based on modern, environmentally friendly technologies, ensuring high usable values of constructed buildings.
Our objective is to ensure full satisfaction and contentment of our customers through high quality and reliability of constructed buildings. That enables further strengthening of the position of our company on a basis of quality management systems conforming to international certifications, obtained and adhered to in this field.
In the nearest feature we plan to double our income on sales, with simultaneous increase of the sales profitability by 3 to 4 percentage points.
We are considering a possibility to list the Company on the stock exchange or engage with a strategic investor from Poland or abroad to invest significant resources in modernising, development and increase of effectiveness of the activities.
Our strategy is based on a thorough analysis of the forecast for next 6 years of the economic situation in the construction industry, and is not limited to the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region but also searches for opportunities in the European Union and outside. We will cooperate with any reliable partner, institution or company, to further develop and increase effectiveness of our activities. To that extent, we accept various forms of cooperation.
An important part of our strategy is modernisation of the organisation and management, as well as taking care of high quality of personnel at each level, and in particular at the middle and lower level, ensuring the lowest possible fluctuation of employees, together with their training and professional development.
COMPANY’S DEVELOPMET STRATEGY FOR YEARS 2007-2010
The Company’s Management Board, together with other Shareholders, develops strategy for activities for coming years, systematically analysing situation in the construction market and general economic situation in the construction industry.
The basis objectives include:
- Reaching the income level of PLN 200 mln a year by 2010.
- Building the company’s position on a basis of the quality management system conforming to ISO 9001-2004 which will help to increase value of our brand.
- Reaching a modern organisation model, in particular in management, cooperation with external partners, and financial and accounting system in accordance with the EU standards.
- Joining with the Investment partner to execute large investment projects capitalisation or initiating activities to list the company on the stock exchange and obtaining resources for investment development).
For development strategy, the Management Board decided as follows:
- To base the company’s development on a long-term forecast for economic situation in the construction industry, forecasted demand in this field in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region, as well as in other intensively developing regions and everywhere where this regional development is supported by the EU funds through, f.e., creation of the Company’s Branches.
- To connect development of the company “Marbud” with a possibility to use the EU funds, including correct orienting of initiated activities, as well as developing our own equipment and transport resources, starting new types of production supported by the EU directives and thus, by financial resources.
- To consider and prepare for offers of external investment partners (specify conditions for entering into a partnership with external capital, joint projects, purchase of shares in companies, etc.).
- To develop and implement a plan for ensuring high quality of staff of a lower and medium level, continuously reduce personnel fluctuation, bind people with the company within the system, create a training, professional improvement and motivation system – adopting this as a condition for an efficient functioning of PUBiT „Marbud” in the future.
- To introduce the modern organisation and management adjusted to increasing potential of the company.
- To computerise all organisation units to facilitate better and quicker internal communication, continuous and current control of project execution, enable better functioning of the internal supply system.
- To extent scope of activities to eliminate a middleman, develop own production or in “daughter” companies of some scarce construction materials. Development of activities supporting the construction industry, but also increasing participation of activities of that kind in the Company’s profit (investment support, estate agency activities, real estate management, services of complete finishing of houses and flats).
- To introduce more intensive forms of operating for marketing and Customer service division, including:
- approaching possible Customers amongst people of Polish decent in European countries as well as in the USA and Canada.
- introduce improved formulas for contracts signed with Customers, to become independent of, f.e., unforeseen changes in prices of construction materials or sudden important decisions of the government.
All those activities should prepare the company for becoming an important investment partner in the construction industry both in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and in Poland.
